I've been working with kittyelfie to produce the Super Musclegirls webcomic for a couple years, now, but my machine just broke down. It's super dead. I've done everything short of voodoo magic to resurrect it to no avail. You can read the full details here,

Tea Party

but the short of it is I'm offering commissions to help defray the cost of building a new render engine. All help is gratefully accepted and renders will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

A Plea...

2 min read

I loathe asking people for money. I hate how helpless it makes me feel, which is why I try and limit it to the extent that I do. That said, I am asking for money... sort of. In April of 2021, I was informed that I needed to have my fingerprints taken to continue working for my local school district; when I went in to have the job done, I was informed that there was an uncleared provision on my license (Family Engagement, of all things... and I work in a prison) and I couldn't get the fingerprinting done until I cleared the provision.

I, of course, immediately set about getting the provision removed, but during the time it took me to get that situation cleared up, my employment with my school district lapsed and they dismissed me. The timing could have been ore rotten, maybe, but it would've taken some serious sadism in order to accomplish. In February, I was given one month to clear out of the rental I'd been living in; I managed it, barely, and bought a new home which I am currently making mortgage payments on. As of right now, I'm struggling to collect on unemployment, do all the training I need to do so that I can immediately be reinstated to my old position as soon as my license is approved (again), and trying to keep providing quality artwork and writing.

If you can spare $10 or $15 per month, please, please, please check out my patreon page . kittyelfie and I have been producing an updated webcomic based on his popular Empire City Super Musclegirls stories. Additionally, I've been posting promo artwork and , just recently, a video. Some of the promo artwork will, eventually, find its way to my dA page. The video probably will, too... eventually... but it's available on my Patreon first.

Outraged.

As a moderate liberal- considered too far right by most liberals and too far left by pretty much all conservatives- I had promised myself that I would not make a statement regarding the upcoming US general election. If a conservative friend of mine had not shown me the following, I would have abided by that decision. I did my part- I voted. The results of the election are now in the hands of the rest of the country.

Then I saw this: Biden Team Cancels Texas Event After Highway ‘Ambush’ by MAGA Cavalry

Frankly, this is outrageous. This does not display a respect for the rule of law. This demonstrates contempt for the democratic process. This is what the Trump campaign and their sycophantic supporters are inciting. If you are a Republican, you need to get out and vote... and you need to vote what you know, in your heart and soul, is the right thing. Get rid of the con man and criminal who has held your party hostage for the last four years. Get rid of the congressmen who showed their lack of courage and allowed him to bully and demean your party to the point that it has become a combination of a laughingstock and an object of terror the world over.

If you're afraid that your fellow Republicans will turn on you, don't be. Show some courage and be aware that you are not alone. There are many, many Republicans who have demonstrated that they know the difference between right and wrong; you should too.

Don't believe me? Believe the voices of your own people: Republican Voters Against Trump and The Lincoln Project.

So... I've recently taken to marinating and grilling chicken. Well, not recently, but I've recently managed to get it consistently right. I would tell you my secret, but it's not a secret:

Marinade:

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 Tbsp melted butter

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp salt

1 Tbsp dried Chives

1 Tbsp dried Parsley

1 Tbsp dried, crushed curry leaves

1 tsp ground cumin

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Place all ingredients in a quart Ziploc bag. Seal and shake to mix thoroughly.

Add enough skinless, boneless chicken to fill bag and reseal. Make sure marinade thoroughly covers all of the chicken, then open a small hole to extract as much air as possible.

Refrigerate overnight, a minimum of two hours.

Barbecue sauce:

1 stick butter, melted

1/2 cup oil (olive oil or chili oil is best)

1 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 cup barbecue sauce (your choice of variety)

Generous helpings of powdered garlic and minced onions

Mix all ingredients and stir well.

To grill the chicken, remove chicken from baggie and place on pre-heated grill, face down. Heat until meat no longer sticks to grill, then flip and baste with barbecue sauce. Continue heating, flipping, and basting until chicken is nearly cooked, then remove from heat. Keep chicken pieces together and the ambient heat will finish the cooking process over the next couple minutes.

Add liquid from marinade to barbecue sauce (if there is any) and place barbecue sauce in the freezer for the next time.

Disturbing...

...apparently, I passed out and had a seizure from low blood sugar last night, sometime between 4:25 PM and 11:39 AM. I have no recollection of the time in between at all, but my blood sugar, when I finally came back to my senses was 39 mg/dL.

My apologies to everyone who's been waiting on me to get stuff done.
